Kohl's has the Baby Jogger City Select Lux stroller on sale right now in select colors at 30% off. Pricing for this stroller is historically the same across all retailers and it is rarely on sale. This is the lowest price I've ever seen this model go for - typically places have it 15% off, at most.

Why I Love This Deal:
  • $189.00 off of MSRP.
  • Earn $80 Kohl's Cash + $30 Yes2You Reward Points
  • Free Shipping
Fine Print:
  • Colors on sale are Taupe, Port, and Slate (Graphite is excluded).
  • Offer runs: 4/6/18 -4/8/18
UPDATE:
  • Eligible Colors: Port (AVAILABLE), Taupe (AVAILABLE), Slate (SOLD OUT).

I'm genuinely curious what makes this worth 4x more than a Chicco Bravo stroller? Our girl is growing up almost a year now and we have 2 Chicco strollers where we use the City one for lightweight and in tight spaces with car seat vs Bravo for jogging trails and parks due to better shocks and durability.

They grow up so fast, don't they!

Honestly, it comes down to preference, I think. I have friends that swear by their Chicco. A friend of mine handed down one of their Baby Jogger strollers to us so I'm more familiar with that brand.

I think the biggest difference I can find between the Bravo and City Select Lux is that the Lux can handle a second seat attachment for multiple kids.

But yes, to your point, the Baby Jogger's are not cheap! I wanted to post this because I have never seen them on sale this low before unless they were discontinuing a model.

I can't directly compare it to the Chicco Bravo (where are you getting 4x though? I'm seeing 2x), but what I really love about this stroller is that it can easily convert into one of the most compact double strollers. You can also add a ride-on board in the back, theoretically brininging it to 3 kids at the same time.

It quickly tears down into small parts if you need it to fit a small space, rolls really well (not as nice as our BOB stroller though) and steers good too.

The second seat is THE reason for the City Select. If you only need one seat there are much less expensive, lighter, and more compact options. The Select is a beast, but is reasonably compact for a double stroller.

It's also nice being able to customize it to the task at hand, i.e. leave one seat in the car if you only have 1 of the kids. The ability to turn the seats around is handy too. For example, on a recent walk it was rather windy and the younger kid didn't like it, so we turned his seat around to face backwards while leaving the other seat forward to see ahead.

I see the benefit for 2 kid seats attachment and I don't know how much those usually go for. We got our travel system which came with Chicco keyfit 30, car seat base, and Bravo stroller for under $300 brand new shipped so I value it about $150 and retail for this is about $600. Anyhow, I recall seeing 4moms Origami for $450 and regret not getting it. It had some neat features that kinda justified the premium price imo

It's also worth noting that a lot of the accessories are also on sale right now in select colors.

Bench Kit: [kohls.com] $62.99 (reg. $89.99)
Bassinet Kit [kohls.com]: $83.99 (reg. $119.99)
Second Seat Kit: [kohls.com] $139.99 (reg. $139.99)

I'm not seeing the 30% discount on the stroller. Deal over?

Edit: Nevermind. I see it now.

Which color are you looking at? All the colors except Granite are on sale when I click on the link. Its only for the City Select Lux (not the regular model).

I wish this were available last year when I was looking! I ended up deciding that I should make my 3 year old walk instead of riding along with her 1 year old. :p

Great deal! We spent more on our City Select a couple years ago. $530 to be exact 😂. We love our City Select. They have so many options and combos to use with the frame. We bought it originally to use a second seat down the road. This stroller has grown with our baby and now we plan on getting the skateboard attachment for the back for her now that she's picky about sitting in it. The stroller is a dream at Disneyland! The handling and maneuvering is so smooth trying to dodge and avoid the mass of people. We love ours and definitely worth the money we spent on it.

Does anyone have thoughts about this vs the Uppababy Vista for two kids? Thanks!

It depends. The Vista is an easier push and a better quality stroller. I can probably list half a dozen things I like better on it than the Lux. That said, the Vista is easier to push because it is shorter by around five inches. As such, there is less space between the children, and certain configurations like the kids facing each other are borderline impossible on the Vista but very doable in the Lux. Additionally, the RumbleSeat can only support 35 lbs or a 36" tall kid, both of which can be issues.

Basically, what I tell most people is this: The BJCS/Lux is way more flexible as a double than the Vista, but if you can work around the limitations of the Vista (don't need a bench seat, don't have a Britax car seat, don't need kids to face each other, etc.), the Vista is extremely nice--nicer than the Lux. You pay for that luxury of course, but it's a gorgeous stroller with tons of expandability.

In regard to the deal, I wouldn't bother getting it from Kohls. Get it from AlbeeBaby or Strolleria or something to avoid the tax. As both are specialty retailers, you could also get the Indigo which is exclulsive to them.
