With our first on the way, we were looking for deals on UPPA strollers, but they seem to be excluded off of most coupons.

The UPPA Mesa infant car seat is $299 (as it is everywhere), but qualifies for $60 in bonus rewards upon shipping at AlbeeBaby:
Jake (black): https://www.albeebaby.com/uppabab...black.html
Pascal (grey): https://www.albeebaby.com/uppabab...-grey.html

Free shipping and no tax outside of NY. AlbeeBaby was great at posting the bonus rewards as soon as it shipped to me.
I then redeemed the $60 in rewards towards the stroller in a separate purchase, since they are clearancing out their 2017 models for up to 20% off: https://www.albeebaby.com/uppababy-sale.html

The Dennison (red/silver) was the cheapest VISTA at $672:
https://www.albeebaby.com/uppabab...ilver.html
A matching grey Pascal would be $704:
https://www.albeebaby.com/uppabab...arbon.html

If you're interested in the CRUZ, they are as low as $440 in green:
https://www.albeebaby.com/uppabab...ather.html

I didn't care about colors, so I got the Dennison VISTA. $911 total, shipped to CA.

I also saw they had a code for 20% off (APR20), but it doesn't apply to UPPA. If you just want the car seat, get it for the bonus and use it with the coupon code to get something else!

The only value it has is what people believe. If you're the type to spend almost a grand on a stroller, are you going to look at second hand markets? No. You're going to tell yourself to spare no expense and buy it new. I would not expect to be able to resell it and recoup any value.
You're not a very good slickdealer if you don't know how to resell anything and everything. laugh out loud You obviously are not a user of these particular items so you aren't really adding much to this thread.

As an owner of a Mesa car seat and a Cruz stroller I can say they are both quality pieces that we have been happy with and have never regretted purchasing. Strollers aren't a one size fits all type of item so in that respect money does not buy happiness.

Make sure the stroller you choose fits your intended uses. For instance, for my family we did not want to own multiple strollers (such as a larger one for exercise or theme park trips and then a smaller unit for running in the grocery store) so that is why we bought the Cruz. It has large enough wheels for cruising and plenty of storage underneath for most anything we'd want to do, but it was also compact enough and light enough to toss in and out of the trunk for quick store trips and not clog up the entire aisle.

I thank my lucky stars every day that I decided not to have kids. $911 will buy a lot glitter and Ajax that I can snort instead.

Lots of haters here, but we bought this. Some folks are forgetting that it's not just about what YOU want, but if your significant other really wants something, slickdealing goes out the window. I didn't care what stroller we got, but this one is really freaking good.

PS OP - we ended up taking a Bed Bath Beyond 20% coupon to the Bed Bath Beyond store and ordered the Uppababy stroller there. The sales clerk didn't read the fine print on the coupon excluding Uppa, so we got 20% off. That took the bite out of the price. Well, some of it.

yeah, that's when you step in and do a little finance 101.

if you have a ton of disposable income, great, but spending a grand on these products is financially foolish.

you'll look totally ballar at the mall playground though. make all the other mommies jealous.

I agree. Buy this instead and put the extra $700 into an index fund and your child will have $2800 in 18 years at 8%. If you start with $700, add $60 each month, you'll have about $30,000 when they turn 18. The magic of compound interest.

I saw an expensive looking stroller at Whole Paycheck once and didn't know what it was. I went home and Googled it to find out it was a Stokke Xplory. It sure looks nice, but doesn't seem convenient, lightweight, or carry much cargo. Look at this video to see how much time it takes to setup fold the stroller. [youtu.be]

The wife and I use the Mesa and the Cruz. Baby #2 is on the way and the pieces are still in awesome shape and will be used for the new baby. I'm fine spending good money on these things since they'll last for many years and children.
Our Britax system is being used for baby number 2 and it's on excellent condition. It has traveled to 5 different states and Hawaii and Hong Kong. Deal now for $199. Add a recaro car seat and you have one of the safest, durable, and light set ups costing less than this over priced deal.

Anyone who hates on Uppababy products probably pushes around a Graco. It all comes down to what you want to spend your money on. I know loads of people that fork over hundreds for a single dinner, but wouldn't spend that same amount for a stroller that lasts 2-3 years.

I own a Graco lite rider travel system (shower gift) and the 2017 Uppababy Cruz which we got on sale for $423 at Strolleria. The build quality is like night and day. Our priority is our baby's comfort, and the suspension system alone is worth it as we immediately saw less head-wobbling when we pushed our baby around in the Cruz. We no longer need to avoid cracks in the sidewalk, and our baby is happy. Is that worth $400? Any day of the week. Our Graco serves its purpose, but its mediocre at best. Some people don't want to settle for mediocre, they allow for higher spending in their budget because they deemed it necessary to have certain comforts. No shame in that at all, especially when it involves your children.

Or pay hundreds less and get a chicco car seat which ranks higher in crash test ratings and only slightly lower in quality and ease of use. Pair it with a BOB stroller which is less than 1/2 the price and rated equally or better than both strollers. Done.

I agree with the Chicco, not the BOB. Just fyi, BOBs are not really strollers, they are joggers. Nicely built but not as versatile as the Uppababy in terms of seat positions, ease of use, etc. Not to mention they have the same price tag as the Cruz

I'm a slickdealer at heart, but my wife is the opposite. She won this round, but admittedly I'm kind of excited for this stroller.

I purchased the Mesa carseat and Cruz stroller since we're not sure when we will plan for #2 to come around. I'm a craigslist/marketplace seller so I'm sure I'll sell it down the road.

Thanks OP! Thumbs-up!

Sounds like op found something that NEVER gets discounted for a good deal and shared it. That's what SD is all about. Thanks for posting for all who where thinking about buying this stroller! I would have been very happy if someone did that for us when we bought our joggers for Baby one and Baby two. So good looking out and let the haters that have so much time in their hands that they waste it worrying about how strangers allocate theirs resources. Let em hate and know that most of us appreciate the post.

Not trying to bash or argue, it's your money. Just trying to share perspective after having a few kids about what is really worth spending money on vs what is semi-predatory marketing on one of the most vulnerable demographics.
Your comment makes zero sense. If you are willing to spend $1k, of course you wouldn't look at second hand markets. But if your budget is $400-500, then yes you would look at Uppababy on second hand markets. 2015 Vistas (3 years is typical time to stop using a stroller) commonly sell in the $400-500 range. If you were to check ebay sold listings [ebay.com], most of the recent sales are in the $450 range (then subtract 10% for fees). There are even 2012 Vistas selling for $300-400. 2015 Vista and Mesa combos are in the $600 range.

That means these strollers selling for $672 new in this deal, could reasonably be sold and recoup 60%+ of their value after 3 years of use.

To be bluntly honest, if you really didn't believe you could resell and recoup any value of a $1000 stroller & carseat, then you are not the brightest person.
