It's a deal because your $750 purchase was after a $150 rebate and was taxed on $900. A lot of people on SD hate rebates (SD rebates in particular) and Adorama only charges tax in a select few states.

Typical thread crapper posting comments without providing all the details.

Really good price for a GTX 1060 6GB equipped laptop. Nice to see a SSD/HDD setup as well.

Amazon link [amazon.com] for customer reviews and reference. Adorama is selling this for $950 over there.

Anyone have any thoughts/experience with this system? Is it worth the price ? Specs seems solid. How is the 1060 Max Q compared to a 1060 and compared to a 1050 ti? Is this machine worth picking up or should one wait for the 8 Series Intel cpus?

My son has a similar spec'd system and it's fine for games like CS:S, PUBG, Fortnite, etc. A 1070 is of course better, but for 800, this is a deal.

Not a bad deal, decent gaming computer. This should handle most games at 1080p no problem. I'm waiting for a i7 laptop with a GeForce 1070 or 1080 to show up around $1k one of these days. This deal is pretty tempting though.

Get this and a Windows MR headset and you've got portable PC VR for ~$1,050.

Great deal on midrange gaming laptop. If I needed one, I'd be all over this.

How's this a deal? I got the same laptop at $750 in October 2017 -_- with 256GB ssd
Sure, but wasn't that the deal from Costco that came with like 4 years of warranty...nothing like this deal...in that this deal is actually available. Now.

The Costco version is running solid for me. The 8gbs seem a little light but that's just in comparison to my desktop. Easy to upgrade...other than prices on ram. Fingerprint id is more useful then I expected. Nvme is super fast and the Dell runs overwatch and other blizzard and steam games flawlessly.
