Sigh, I really shouldn't, but it's under $30 I pulled the plug Smilie The bit that made me decide to do this is that according to the oster website, "Large capacity roasts up to a 26-pound turkey without taking up space in your oven. Plus, you can wave goodbye to hand-basting and say hello to more counter space and cooking convenience" So, I'll have to try this vs the usual method of a turkey bag.... In other words, for those with counter space limitations, the thing that sold me might mean you shouldn't pull the trigger as this thing is flat out huge. (Dimensions: L:23.3" x W: 15.6" x H: 11.4", Weight:13.6lb., Cord length: 24", Watts: 1450w )

Just bought the XL Butterball turkey fryer or I'd have gotten this. Great deal. Have a Nesco around here somewhere...

Curious on how they would have this many used products.

In for one. Thanks OP. Been eyeing this for awhile.

Not sure I want a used product that a guy like Armin Meiwes could have used in his kitchen.

Do these brown a chicken/turkey/roast? I recall using something similar and while it cooked the turkey fine it was not browned at all. We threw it under the broiler for a few and it was fine but would be nice to skip that step.

That said, it wasn't my gig and maybe there was too much moisture or something so the turkey's skin was kind of steamed from evaporates?

My mother has always made turkeys in a roaster oven and they brown up just fine. Also, the reviews for this specific product show that the turkey is browned very well in the roaster.

Friends cooked a 22 lb turkey breast at Xmas. It will brown some, but not like in a regular oven. I think there's so much steam in a small space that it won't brown as much. But the turkey was excellent.
