I want to buy a new Dell Laptop with a warranty. Where is the best place to buy and longest warranty?

Hi I'm looking to purchase a new Dell Laptop for my business. It's it best to buy directly from Dell? I'm looking to get the longest warranty possible. (yeah I know some people don't think warranties are important to get but I like the piece of mind having one)

Staples has some Dell Laptops for up to $200 off right now. https://www.staples.com/deals/Lap...a.15555145

But they only offer up to a 2 year warranty.

Office Depot has a warranty I can get up to 3 years https://www.officedepot.com/catal...+Computer+

Or I could get a Costco membership and get a Costco Visa and get a 4 year warranty.

Or do I go to Best Buy where they can fix the computer if something were to go wrong?

I'm also trying to figure out which Dell Laptop offers the best bang for my buck. It's hard figuring out what's the best deal. I just want it to be fast!

I also would like to get help with setting it up. I know it's simple and it walks you right through it but when my daughter bought one she has all this stuff popping up on her. I want all that crap to be taken off so I don't have to deal with any popups like she is. I know they get tricky on adding that stuff on.

I would like a light weight Dell Laptop the smaller and light weight the better!

I would appreciate any help! Thanks!

Costco is good. Don't depend on Best Buy to fix anything unless you buy extended warrantee where they own it. Several machines I've had to fix after Geek Squad couldn't.

So you get a better warranty deal by doing a chat?

What do you mean the Geek Squad couldn't fix them?

Any recommendations on the which Dell laptop I should buy? I want a fast one but I'm not going to be doing any gaming with it or anything. Just want to move around fast. My current Dell Laptop is at least 10 or more years old. My other Dell Laptop is about 20+ years old. Both still working but both to slow now. I'm still using Windows 7. I'm not looking forward to switching over to Windows 10 since I'm so used to Windows 7.

I've always had the best luck with SquareTrade for warranties. Fast turnaround times, typically better coverage, and often much cheaper if you do a google search for a coupon code.

Edit: just looked up warranty pricing on SquareTrade, and they seemed to of bumped up their prices quite a bit. And I don't even see an option for regular warranty anymore... only option is the accidental warranty, which was always quite a bit pricier.

Nearly every problem and atrocity in the world boils down to someone's pursuit of imaginary things (religion, borders, money). Do away with these and humanity might have a chance.

komondor, So this is a really fast computer? Anything close to it where I won't have to pay a grand with a 5 year warranty?'

Also I'm seeing 2 of the Latitude 14" 5000 (5480). One Certified Refurbished for $518 one tand one scratch ad dented for $519. Which was in better to go with. And dang the 5 year warranty for the 4 year price is $394. That's high and is almost close to the same price as the computer.

hey I would not go past a 1 yr warranty myself.
I would go for a scratch and dent but it would depend if the specs were the same. Refurbished usually were turned on then gone thru and refurbished, scratch and dent failed a visual inspection and were pulled off the line. I have purchased a few S&D and out of 4 actually saw one small scratch on the Dell logo on a laptop, nothing you would not do yourself the first time not putting in a bag .

FWIW Dell will usually contact you near the end of your warranty term with special pricing to extend it. I've even bought extended warranty from them after the current warranty expired!
