Thanks! Bought the 550 G3 from Newegg a week ago for $70 with a $20 rebate. Think I'll pay a little extra for the 650. The used one should still come with the 7 year warranty too

I just bought the 750 version for $99 on Amazon a few days ago. Is it worth downgrading for $20 savings?

From what I've heard, you only really need 750W if you plan on having an SLI or Crossfire setup. At the same time, the higher wattage could be a good way to future-proof your stuff, but who knows how long that thing will last.

This is ok with crypto currency crashing prices will come down in December I bought G3 850 for like 90 after 25 rebate from new egg. Yes rebate but still I'd pay 10 bucks more for 850. And G3 is fantastic. GPU prices are coming down and should keep dropping as well.

Thoughts on getting this used? Is there still a manufacture warranty or something provided by Amazon?

Newegg has the 650W for $70 AR + $4 shipping. A bit cheaper, but the hassle of a rebate.

As far as I know, you will not be protected by the warranty because you aren't the original buyer. However, some companies are willing to work with you depending on the circumstances. Amazon also has a return policy like with their other products, so really, this should only be your option if you're looking to save money and don't care about the warranty (you can always send it right back if it doesn't work for some reason).

Correction: Apparently, EVGA will honor a secondary owner warranty but it looks like it's 3 years from the original purchase date. Not bad at all since that's another $20 off the PSU. https://www.evga.com/support/warr...-supplies/. This only matters if the product itself is shipped and sold by Amazon itself, so you'd be fine there.

If you're talking Black Friday, that was for the G2 edition.
