I've only posted a few times so please be gentle Wink

My wife and I have been looking at this stroller for some time. CCC has it as it's lowest price currently and most stores (buy buy baby, babies r us) won't allow you to use coupons on it. It's regular $629 and currently on sale for $440.99. There's a few other baby jogger things on sale such as the Graco car seat adapter at around 26% off. Hope this helps someone out!

Additionally, Target has the gray on sale for $400.99 after $100 automatic coupon comes off. The black is OOS but would be the best price if it returns to stock before 4/14.

I get what you are saying, but there is more to this stroller than configurations (although that is definitely part of it). Convertible strollers are inherently more expensive, but their flexibility is amazing. You can buy a Lux seat for like $130 on sale to make this a double. I can promise that you cannot get a high-end double for $130. You can add a riding board for like $60 on sale to make it a triple. You cannot pay $60 for a high-end triple stroller.

Yes, you need to buy more parts to convert it, but you still have a high-end stroller with all the benefits that comes with. You can buy a single, double, and triple stroller, but if you only have ~$200 to spend on each one, I can promise it will be nowhere as nice as this. Obviously, if you are only having one child, there are better options, but if you have or are planning on multiple children, this is a really good investment.

This stroller will make someone feel special and this is the cheapest it can be found. Next.

I feel like I have to argue the value of these things each time a deal on them comes up. In nearly every case the people arguing that these are a waste of money have never actually used a high-end stroller and have nothing to compare it to, but because they use a $20 stroller, that should be good enough for everyone. For reference, the previous thread on this very discussion just three days ago.

Quality costs more. Also no $30 stroller in the world looks like this one.

Beware: the benefit seems to be having many configuration options, but those all require spending even more on extra pieces, making this even more expensive. This is one of many situations where you're much better off in terms of price and functionality getting products that do one thing well rather spending more to try and get one that does everything okay.

Hey man, if you feel comfortable putting an infant into a $30 stroller, more power to you. Of course there are going to be diminishing return on investment the higher cost you go, but there's a huge convenience factor to strollers since you're going to be using it on a daily basis. Things like weight, suspension, ease of folding, size of basket all can make a huge difference. And the higher cost a stroller is, the more likely that the features it comes with are just a little better than the next cheaper one. Of course there's always a name factor, but I can tell you that the higher cost strollers absolutely do feel and roll better than cheaper ones.

Nicer strollers aren't a necessity by any means but they sure aren't nice if you can afford it.

We got a nice stroller for our first kid. It was ok, but it wasn't too long before that thing became a burden simply due to its size. We came to prefer some cheapo one someone gave us at a shower. Daughter preferred it too. Baby 2 on the way so we'll see how that goes, but a "nice" stroller isn't always the right one.
