Serious aquarists will buy this in the 2L size. Good price for the small bottle.

Get outta here with your gatekeeping. Not all planted tanks are huge, some people have small tanks in their office or similar. It's a great price for anyone who needs it, not just people who are "unserious aquarists".

While true for people with multiple tanks, for those with just 1 planted tank, small or large, this bottle will last a while.

I've also read elsewhere that it's effectiveness can go down overtime (I cannot verify this), so buying in bulk may be pointless for most.

FYI this is not the same as flourish Excel, if you need co2 grab the flourish Excel if you have enough co2 and just need extra organics get this.

Serious planted tank keepers will buy dry ferts. That's the real slick deal. With that being said, I do have a bottle of this that I got second hand. I'm just going to use it up. This is basically water. The percentage of nutrients are very low. It's a nice price on the bottle so no knock on the OP, just that it will get very expensive to use if you have a large tank, or multiple tanks.

Only annoyance with that is all the yellow caps it leaves behind. My syphon never seems to pull them up.
