Select Walmart stores have the Select by Calphalon Stainless Steel Pan Set (10 or 14 Piece) on clearance for $40 or less.

Use Brickseek to determine pricing and availability at your local stores.

14 Piece Set: https://brickseek.com/walmart-inv...=880858817
10 Piece Set: https://brickseek.com/walmart-inv...u=49239280

Nice deal if you can find it. All of my stores are OOS, and not available online.

I see 5 in stock near me of the 14PC for $40, none of the 10PC anywhere around me. Worth a shot, thank you!

Reviews don't look so good, people mainly say cleaning is a pain but it cooks well. Probably one of the times where I don't care that item is OOS in my area lol.

It's not 18/10 if that matters to anyone...

The Select 10-pc Stainless Steel Cookware Set is not 18/10 due to the variance in production runs and the need to make adjustments for induction cooking.

Says there are 4 of the 14 pc. In stock 20 minutes away. You don't want to call on these, right?

I read the same thing in reviews before I jumped on my first stainless steel pan set a few years back, I'm sooooo glad that it didn't stop me from buying. They won't be the only pan you use, you will definitely still need a couple non stick. I will say they are a little tricky to use and clean. I would never cook an egg or grilled cheese on them for example.

The average home cook is used to cooking with non stick pans, which in most cases are very easy to use and clean. Stainless steel pans are completely different. If you don't use them correctly, cleaning becomes almost impossible. So there is a little bit of research that needs to be done.

Depending on what you cook on a regular basis would determine your need. I personally have always been happy with calphalon pots, never had there pans. I'll be passsing by after work and hopefully I get lucky, at $40 it seems like a steal to me.

Just my opinion and some info I gathered, there are tons of videos going into more detail.
Thanks OP.

Stainless steel is always a pain to clean. People leaving bad reviews for that fact alone obviously haven't used stainless steel before. The draws to stainless steel is that they will last a lifetime and you don't have to worry about the harmful chemicals and compounds used in non-stick coatings leeching into your foods. This isn't the best quality stainless steel set by a long shot but at $40 this is a STEAL. It's way better than the similarly priced Tools of the Trade set from Macy's that what trending on SD yesterday.
