Reviews on Amazon seem all over the place. Any SlickDealers have any experience with this they'd like to share?

Crashes a lot because software will freeze or GPS drops out. Must have a large area of grass to land, anything else will damage the bottom surface of the drone as it dives into the ground to land. Sometimes the wings pop off from heavy load or landing. Would not recommend unless you are an experienced wing flyer and or have an open large grassy area for takeoff and landing.

I think the problem is this drone requires some actual rc skill and know how.

Some reviews people complained that it couldn't land in their front yards. It's a plane cmon. I wouldn't buy this unless you know how to fly rc planes. DJI has allowed people to fly drones without any previous skill or knowledge... This is not the same

Missed it last time. But I'm still trying to convince myself to buy it. I have TBS Caipiranha and I can fly it good 5 miles out without any issue. Footage however from GoPro session need stabilization.

How's the footage with this, is it stabilized? And how good is video quality on googles if one know???

Seems like a good deal to me. I bought the Bebop quad for a song and have to say i'm really impressed for what it cost...

I'd be interested in this if i had long distance flights in mind and a good big place to takeoff and land.

I got in on this deal about a month ago when it was up and posted a few times about the purchase in the other thread.

"Just flew it for the first time today and everything went smooth. From takeoff to flight and landing, everything work. I didn't use the goggles but figured it uses your phone as the viewfinder connected to the controller so it should be fine.
I own a lot of drones including many DJI drones and have to say this is a very good purchase at $320, which is almost $1000 off the original msrp. Fixed wing flying is def different from quads and can be very fun overall. Glad I hopped on this, bummed I didn't order 2 lol"

Like what someone else said, DJI made it VERY easy to fly a quad. And fixed wing flying is def different. With this, you can fly with only the right stick as it turns left and right, or up and down. Only difference is obviously since this is a plane, it will always propel forwar and never hover. You also need a big area to land.

For $320, this thing is about $1000 off of the price it originally launched at.

It's the same camera as the bebop 2. It has digital video stabilizer.

Then why is it called a drone?

By that logic do you think you could fly anything they call a drone? You should fly in the Drone Racing League. Here is the link https://thedroneracingleague.com/
Good luck.

Drone is a term used for anything that is unmanned with some level of autonomy. Doesn't mean it requires no piloting skill. Flying some things still require skill. I am not new to the hobby. If your interested in RC planes and quads https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/index.php

I can "fly" anything that is actually a drone. This is a plane with a camera attached.
