In case anyone wanted more details on the specs (some of them are in the retail link), the 4TB IronWolf is 5900 RPM (larger capacities are 7200 RPM), rated for 24x7 use, up to 180TB per year, and comes with a 3 year warranty. Here is the data sheet [seagate.com].

got all the way to the end and it removes the discount and says that the drives don't qualify for the coupon codes

depends on how much you redundancy you want if you want to mirror the hard drives or just raw storage.

I'm looking to mirror 2 drives together for home media storage in a house with 2 people. Are NAS drives over kill for my application? I am basically just using these for file backups and media for my Plex server.

Use the promo code at checkout. Either input your email if you are not signed into Newegg or just input the code.

Depends how "valuable" your data is to you. I always use redundancy for my data, and periodic backup's to another server. As for my media, I don't really care for that, as all of it can be re-downloaded/Ripped.

Anyone know if these are loud? Have some old HGSTs that I'm looking to swap out and go bigger.

Code is only taking off 30.00 for 2. Total is 229.00. How do I get 60.00 off?

Seagate could call their drives Bulletproof Iron and I still wouldn't trust their drives with my data

is this a good deal? I was able to get the $60 off. You have to scroll all the way down, for me in CA it is 218 after tax.

What is your setup/need? We'd be happy to try and help point you in the right direction once we know a little more about what you're shooting for.
