Who else is getting the error where it deletes the 21670200 after a search by quantity. Or maybe that's because there's none left around me..

I've been using this humidifier for the past two winters. Works great for a bedroom.

For $5, I would have definitely picked up another if there were any in stock

I bought the wrong filters but they were the cheapest I could find and they fit perfectly if you cut about an inch (with good scissors)

If Brickseek shows 31 in stock, is it safe to say there should at least be SOME there?

I've had these cool mist humidifiers and there's two problems:

1.) the filters get moldy/mildew if left unchecked or unused after water has passed through them. It looks like they're getting better by including a water treatment bottle, but yeah eventually, unless you're diligent about cleaning/replacing the filter, it will send microbes in the air.

2.) They work by spraying small water particles in the air and hoping they evaporate prior to hitting the floor. The issue is, these work initially but as the humidity in the room increases the particles don't evaporate as quickly causing water droplets to build on the floor. If you have hardwood floor, especially compressed planks it will ruin your floor. To fix this, you would need a humidity reader built in and adjusting the flow as the room humidity increases to decrease water output...you won't get that from a cheaper humidifier.

Another fix would be to have a small end table away from walls to set this on to allow for more time to let the water evaporate before hitting the floor. The big issue comes from when some water is on the floor and more falls, it takes even longer to evaporate compounding the problem. If left on to run the entire time until empty you're going to have puddles.

Wouldn't bet on it, went to pick up an item that showed 36 in stock on brickseek, but nowhere to be found in store. The employee said sorry, don't have any.

I've got two of these an expensive $70 Honeywell and this one I just picked up for $11 at Walmart.
Of the three types warm, Ultrasonic, evaporation, evaporation will not to throw out bacteria into the air.
The warm, hot ones are very likely to do this, the ultrasonic too, plus that grey dust.

Yes these may grow mold, I clean mine every 3 days, I have never had a problem, with the large Honeywell it goes thru 3-4 1.5 gallons of water every 24 hours. No mold grows in mine with this use. The humidity here is now staying at 30 percent, up from 10 percent and I just stopped using them for the season, cleaned them with bleach one last time.

Yes, if you let these things sit for days with out running you will get mold. If you run them when you don't need them, evaporation models can only humidify to a certain point, you will get mold, just like a shower curtain.

One trick is to use two ffilters alternating them out every other day, letting one dry. Or just remove the filter it it is going to sit for days without use and the tray. If there is no UV light like the Honeywell has, I would run these without water to dry the filter. I will do this with the small Sunbeam since it's just a fan.

Spraying water? Haven't seen that, just tested the Sunbeam last night. These don't spray water. The water from the jug empties into a channeled bottom, the filter sits in a puddle, it wicks the water up, the fan sucks air from the outside of the filter thru it and out. The water evaporates into that air.

This cheaper one has a better cap then the Honeywell, it uses a milk carton like plastic for a water seal, this Sunbeam uses what looks like an O ring washer, the cap screws on without leaking, that can't be said for the Honeywell. I have found it the water is around 65 degrees it leaks like a seive, the trick is to warm the cap with hot water, put cold water into the tank, screw it on.
