In for 2. It's a steal after selling the ram for 130.

Laptop ram could also get 120 back if you sell it on eBay for 140. 110 for 500gb 860 evo is also a Black Friday price Stick Out Tongue

If only it could have been desktop RAM, it would be more useful to more people

wouldnt te second combo be pointless since you only get 1 stick of ram? would have been better to include 2 4gb sicks for dual channel

Well on the flip side, you can use it if/when you want to upgrade to 16 GB. Had it been 2 x 4GB sticks, you'd have to discard them. This is better for the long term, and IMO preferable to 2 x 4. (but YMMV, of course).

I just purchased a dell 7577 recently through here (i5 7300hq 1060maxQ variant) and it comes with 8 gigs of ram. Thinking about purchasing this combo deal for the 16 gigs of ram and selling the drive. Can someone tell me if 16 gigs is overkill for my/a laptop? I do heavy gaming such as kingdom come deliverance and stalker modded. Currently have 8 gigs in 4x4 dual channel is that enough or no?

8gb is enough in most games, but not all. Definitely go with 16gb. You'll be much happier and be able to leave some things running in the background while gaming without issues

It will help. 16GB Ram is not over kill IMO. To me it's just right especially with gaming.
