With all of the Dyson deals going on I decided to share this one.
Dyson will price match Costco.
Call them up and tell them that you would like to price match this:

https://www.costco.com/Dyson-Ball...47562.html

They no longer carry the regular Animal so they offered to upgrade me to the Animal 2 and include all of the attachments included in the Costco bundle.
You are also eligible for the 3 free tools for registering your Dyson.

https://www.dyson.com/uprights/dy...rview.html

This is the bigger/more powerful Dyson

You also receive free shipping and most states have no tax.

I was able to get the vacuum and 8 tools for $299 shipped

Well, the Best Buy deal on the multifloor ball 2 vacuum that I wanted died super early before Dyson opened this morning, so it looks like this is the only Dyson deal active at the moment, so I'm stuck with the weak suction small ball I ordered or paying an extra $100 for the Animal 2 with lots of attachments I would probably never use... or just forgetting it completely and sticking with my old DC65. I just wanted another vacuum so I didn't have to drag the old DC65 up and down the stairs. I thought I did well yesterday until at the last moment people finally mentioned the small ball has weak suction. I didn't even get to think I got a good deal for a full 24 hours before I had buyer's remorse.

OP, you have to log in to see Costco's price, so how is Dyson going to do that to know what price to match?

The Dyson rep didn't even ask me if I am a Costco member. She pulled it up right away when I mentioned Costco so I guess the reps have access to a Costco account that they use for price matching.
It is also stated in their price matching policy that they match Costco.

Attached is an image of my receipt. Keep in mint that the attachments that are packed in with the Animal 2 are not shown below because they are packaged with the vacuum.

Definitely YMMV. No luck on chat matching this deal. They wanted me to buy the Multi Floor which retails for $299 with none of the pet/extra attachments. Thanks anyway.

Is it worth $100 more for animal 2 than multifloor?

I don't know. The rep told me they were all basically the same except which attachments are included.

Does anyone know the difference between the old DC65, the Origin, and the Animal 2?

Same here. This is a YMMV. I was told that Animal+ on Costco would be equivalent to a DC65 or Origin and not an Animal 2. I also found out they can't/won't stop shipments from the prior day, so I might as well try the small ball and return it for free if I don't like it.

I was also told their chat is open 24/7, but as soon as the Best Buy deal started last night I tried to do chat, it didn't pop up, and when I went to the contact us page it said chat unavailable.

According to the Dyson site the Animal 2 has more air watts than the multi floor - 270 (in Max mode) vs. 250.
How much actual difference that makes for vacuuming is anybody's guess.

Re-reading this thread, it appears only the OP has been successful getting the Animal 2 with 8 attachments total. I was in a hurry before.

I probably wouldn't care about 20 AW difference, but the difference between 250 and the small ball is about 100 AW. There are huge waits on the phone system now. Yesterday it was 10 people. Now it's over 50.

Out of curiosity, if someone got offered the DC Origin vacuum for $60 less than the Costco deal, would you take it?

Hard for me to say...we have an old DC14 animal that I recently spent maybe $200 on replacing worn/broken parts. Until this new Animal 2 the 14 had more suction power than any of the newer vac's since.
I'd be mighty tempted to upgrade if I could replicate the OP's deal, but if I needed to pay more like MSRP for a new vac I'd have to revisit some of the threads recommending a bagged Miele canister vac, and others over Dyson. Our DC14 has been great - and it should run for another several years, but I do wonder if the newer vac's aren't built as well.

I replaced my DC25 with animal 2 and I can tell that animal 2 has much higher suction power for cleaning carpet.
