Frontier Airlines allows 1 personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop bag) per passenger fee free. Carry-on baggage is not included as fee free. You may pay for carry-on baggage fees at the time of booking.

Personal item should not exceed the following size and weight restrictions:

18 in x 14 in x 8 in/46 cm x 36 cm x 20 cm
Fit under the seat in front of you

Correct. For a weekend trip to a soccer game it's not hard to fit 2-3 outfits in a laptop bag within the required size bag for your free personal item. My mistake, used the wrong terminology in my initial post.

You're right the flight itself was free I guess since it's not even 1¢. Not a bad deal if I had to fly to Charlotte for a couple of days for $28 RT.

Frontier really isn't bad if you can avoid all the fees. I got a round trip flight from Central NC to Kansas City for $110 total

Right. If you are the kind of person willing to wear the same underwear for a week and don't wash your hair except when forced to, you can save a bundle with Frontier.

Can buy new ones and throw the old ones. Same cost as for a checkin bag.
