I found these by the stock room entrance in the back of the store. Discounted to $1.00 Probably because of off-season. Picked up 6 for the upcoming winter season.
These work great for snowboarding/skiing as well as work/activities outside during the colder months.

B&M only. Online price is still at 3.99 everywhere.

I've bought these at end of season before, and they've all been dead by next winter. Great price, though!

Really? I've had good luck with sealed packages from Hot Hands. Expired 3 years and they still get pretty hot.

Oh wow, good for you. I bought in early spring one year and by winter they were all dead. They were sealed individually and in the larger package.

Reading your experience, and for $1, I'd give it another shot.

I think most of these create an exothermic reaction when exposed to air, so I would wonder if it's not age that makes them duds, but accidentally being activated.

True, they're actuvated when exposed to air, so care must be taken to protect the packages from puncture, cracking, etc.
