I bought 16 of these 8GB sticks (not all at once) from this seller [ebay.com] on ebay.

I offered $80/stick and he's always accepted the offer.

They are all good, clean Kingston ECC UDIMMs. I think a good deal.

Front page in 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . . Get 'em before they're gone.
These make EXCELLENT Blue Iris servers and/or Virtual machine servers and/or file servers.

Listing says "no raid". Is that simply because it only has one hard drive...or do I need to add something else in order to create a raid array?

I think it means no dedicated raid card. You would use software raid either through Linux or windows.

There are enough on board SATA ports for 4 hard drives. Not sure if that is including the os drive.

Is this the lowest price it's ever been? What's the difference between spinning up a dual core virtual machine acting as a server for files, Nas, Plex, virtual machines or just running stuff off of your main workstation's unused cores? In other words what justifies paying 300 for this vs other alternatives/options?

I received a 500 dollar dell GC with a TV purchase... I know absolutely nothing about servers, but would this be a potentially easy resell on ebay to get the most back out of my GC from tv?
