There is a combo deal with Corsair H60 liquid cooler, which would be $138 shipped minus $10 rebate, for $127 total, which may be a better deal for some. Coupon can not be used on combos

Not much of a savings Frown

Then you have to hope the motherboard you get is upgraded with the newest Bios. Or wait for AMD to send a older CPU for the Bios update.

I will pass for now. Until the price drops more, for the hassle.

is there any way to know for sure you will get an updated bios when buying online? That is what is keeping me from jumping on a deal. Thanks

If you have a gpu then you have nothing to worry about.

My friend got a 2200 and they worked just fine with an A320 whatever Mobo. Output to GPU.

Newegg has a lot of boards that say ryzen 2000 ready right below the name, should be safe if you get one of those. Worst comes to worst amd will let you borrow an old APU to upgrade your bios for ryzen 2000.You do have to return it but pretty cool to have the option if you are in no that much of a rush to build your pc.

This is a very capable little chip. Wouldnt really suggest it for hardcore gaming but if you dabble, it's gonna be a great processor with decent graphics performance(compromising on quality settings of course).
