Google Play Music 90 day free trial YMMV

Not from the Samsung targeted promotion. Got nothing on any of my Samsung tech. But found this on my XM LG phone .

There was a banner ad on top of the Music on my Google Play Store app. Funny thing is, I rarely qualify for these type trial offers. But I just had a 90 day maybe 6 mos ago AND I got a 30 day offer last week.

I've got a Tidal trial going & something else on standby. So I figured I'd "waste" the 30 day offer & probably wouldn't see another one forever. So I let it go. But I grabbed this one pretty quick.

I like the Tidal sound a lot. The app's not great. But I can live with it. The real deal breaker is that it doesn't play well w/the Google assistant. I've gotten kinda used to to having my Google Home Mini's do my bidding, unfortunately.

fyi The 30 day banner offer was gone in a few hours. So may be a good idea to jump on it if you get anything that looks interesting.

Went to google play store and under music tab and the 90 day free trial was there. Note: I first went to the google play music app and it only offered 30 days free, so make sure to open the play store app and not music.

Perfect timing cause my spotify deal ended yesterday!

did you already have a free subscription in place by chance? I have a trial that's going to end on 4.22, and I was curious if I'll be able to take advantage of the deal!

How often does the 4-month trial come around?

idk I've only gotten one w/a tech promo. Like I remember (back in the day) my watch. I did get to use a code posted here once, too.

Like I said, I very rarely get any good movie or music offers. They usually only give me app offers. Maybe because I rarely buy them & never buy games

Any ways to save the downloaded files to somewhere else? On a non rooted android device, I am. Will the downloaded files'expire' once the trial is over?

"Download music to listen offline. You can download music you've purchased or added to Google Play to your mobile device or computer so you can listen when you don't have an Internet connection. If you subscribe to Google Play Music, you can also download subscription tracks to your mobile device.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of program to magic it away illegally. But as far as I know, the rest of us just lease the music for as long as we're paying a subscription.

Hoping that's good news . Apparently it signals the end of Google Play Music as we know it. Just so long as our Google assisted devices are going to transition happily because I really haven't been overwhelmed by how they play w/much of anything else I've tried .

It's only good news if they keep the free cloud storage. I have 100,000 songs in the cloud, many of which are not available on google play. I will be very unhappy if that goes away.

I thin the new programs may be worse at least more expensive for the same thing. Nearly 30% increase in price to have music and video free
