No experience with this light personally but looks like a good deal. Normally this price is for tool only.

If it was a newer 2.0 battery and m18/m12 charger it would be really slick. 1.5 to 2.0 doesnt seem like much but its a 33% in battery capacity.

This light originally sold for $99 as bare tool. The charger can be had for $14 new on ebay. A Genuine m12 1.5 ah battery is $25 ebay.

You are paying $41 + tax for the light itself.

This same kit is $89 or best offer on ebay Free ship, NO Tax.

OK deal if you need a good flashlight.

If you don't have, or plan on acquiring, other Milwaukee M12 tools then this is not the deal for you as there are plenty of other cheaper options out there. But if you want a high powered flashlight to throw in your tool bag which takes the same battery as your other M12 tools, then this is a good option at a price that is hard to beat.

I have been using this as my EDC at work for about 6 months and love it. It's as bright as my buddy's Streamlight.

I havent seen any M12 tools come with the dual m12/m18 chargers that are standard with the M18 tools, even including the higher end M12 Fuel kits. I'd agree the 1.5 ah battery is anemic, paired with the charger I'd expect to get around $30 for it plus the charger if you sell them together.

So really if you sell the battery & charger it's a $50 flashlight that works with M12 batteries, and will survive some serious abuse (being used to drive 16 penny nails, being run over with a skid steer, etc..).

There is also a kit with this flashlight and a Milwaukee Hardline knife for $99 shipped free (2355-20KN).

I've seen a drill, led light, two batteries and charger for this same price.

True, or the drill impact combo or multi tool at some point. This seems like a lot for just the flashlight.

What makes this even a lukewarm deal? Wouldn't this [amazon.com] give you almost everything this flashlight has to offer if you have a mobile charger laying around? Or is the 12v 1.5Ah battery usable in other devices and costs a fortune?
You've seriously never heard of the m12 tool series? They've been on the market for more than 10 years. There are a good 50+ tools that share the same batteries--not to mention jackets/vests.

It seems that the cpo light/knife kit doesn't include a battery or charger.

Hearsay or does anyone have a link to these better deals for the 2355-21?

Correct, they are different kits...

The $80 Home Depot deal gets you $30 worth of battery and charger free with the flashlight... while the CPO flashlight + knife combo gets you an $80 flashlight plus a $60 knife ($140 separately) for $100. Both are better values than the flashlight alone.
