Recommend putting the word "watch" somewhere in your post so people can more easily find this deal.

Really cool watch from a brand with great history. Their roots are tied into the railroad, for those unfamiliar with the brand. The use of tritium tubes for limitation is seldom used, so this is a chance to grab a great watch at a great price with really cool tech and nice aesthetics.

I had a Ball watch some 10 years ago and it was the worst finished watch I have ever seen. I loved the idea of the tritium tubes but actual execution was horrible. I'm not comparing it to Omegas and such. It wasn't even as well finished as 50 dollar Seikos. Dial looked good. Case and every bit of hardware was horrible.

Wow, all I can say is that this is not my experience. I purchased a watch from Ball (Bronze Engineer) early last year and it has become my favorite to wear. It is well executed and nicely finished. The pictures you show are of a well worn, scratched up and dented watch - no way it looked like that new out of the box from Ball, right?

No, I purchased it used but I don't know how it would even be possible to cause those all of those defects without affecting the front. It wasn't dented. It was outright missing material. Maybe mine was one of the earlier models when they brought the brand back and they were still working on quality control? It has been a long time so I've forgotten all of my impressions but I can tell you I sought out that watch and unloaded it shortly after because it wasn't what I thought it would be.

You're judging the brand's quality based on an obviously beaten up second hand example? Also, it likely had a replacement crystal.

I didn't judge a brand. I just relayed an experience I had. I've been a watch guy for quite some time. This wasn't a beat up watch. Draw your own conclusions.
