Link is to inch set. Metric here: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-12...?rrec=true

9pc non-laser-marked set (up to 19mm) that has the sizes I use for $18.83 -- not nearly as good a deal, but suits me better: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-9-...?rrec=true

I just bought another SAE impact socket set at sears. It was $22 but I had another $10 in surprise points, plus the $3 in points I didn't use from my last order when I redeemed the free $20 in points posted a few days ago. Cost me $8 for an entire set of new sockets. I'll pick that up with my free universal impact joint. Haha. Score!

You should try to check out with it too and see if you get surprise points. Unbelievable they can stay in business like this.

Anybody know what makes this a socket accessory set and not just a socket set? Seems arbitrary. And not that great a deal to me.

I'd go for deep sockets over short for 1/2" impact.

That is my question as well as why "Laser" is so prominent in the name. Laser etched sizes is what it refers to. These don't come with laser guidance systems or shoot lasers at enemy mechanics or anything.

need a set of short impacts for clearance.. such as taking off mower blades and working on car suspension.

10$ not too bad.

Are the Evolve impact sockets junk? They are quite a bit cheaper at Sears.
