Surprised you haven't heard of Nylabone. There a big name for is there flavored nylon durable bone. They're sold at pretty much every pet store in existence. Good brand, I would say I don't know how their Edibles are though.

Can my 80lb pitbull mix safely eat them? He breaks off chunks.
Are they unhealthy (sugar, etc.)?

They do have a lot of sugar. I've read bad things about this brand, diarrhea and in some cases causing tears in the intestines 🙁
