Google Chromecast (2nd Gen) on sale at Target for $25 (price will reflect in cart). This is $5 cheaper than the current deal Google is running for $30.

https://www.target.com/p/google-c...A-50072152 - Shipping is unavailable, limited availability for in store pick up.

I'm not sure if this deal is available on Google Express Target (to be combined with the $15 off Google Express Target orders), as Chromecast does not show up on Google Express Target as an eligible item based on my location.

QA Edit: See Front Page post for more options.

Got CCast Ultra (4k) for $40 a while back. So not sure if this is a deal. I remember the price for normal CCast was $20 at that time

It's probably your wifi that's the problem, not the chromecast. After I boosted my wifi signal the stuttering went away on all my chromecasts.

I've been waiting for this to go back on sale. Boo on no free ship but I guess I'll just buy another one of the Target household items x3 deal that's going on to get it delivered.

This normal Chromecast was about $20 a few places around Black Friday / Thanksgiving, but since that time hasn't been as low or less than $30. The Ultra looks like it's been $50 or just under a few times around then and since then, but I just want a reliable, inexpensive way to throw Pandora and Youtube videos to a new TV I just picked up. The Fire stick doesn't play nice with Youtube (because of Amazon's stupid fight against Google/Android) and the TV's built in streaming service and ROKU stick is just spotty. The Chromecast I currently have is the only thing that always shows up when I want to stream from different apps and this is as good a price as I've seen in months.

I think there's going to be a new android TV announced and we should see a bunch of sales on these shortly.

Can anyone confirm if this is powerful enough to stream youtube videos with ease? I have the OG one that came with free netflix, and it's stutters on certain youtube channels. The TV it's on is only 37in 720p Living room TV, Parents claims they don't need a decent TV there. So they put their decent 50 inches 1080p downstairs. That's no one bothers to use. Since they can't hear anything that goes on upstairs and outside. lol So I don't have a use for the 4K one yet.

This one has 5ghz too so if you have that at home it can be a big improvement. The original was 2.4 only which has better range but is slower and gets interference from microwaves, etc.

Mine would occasionally, I cracked case open and rubber banded a CPU heatsink onto the exposed metal. Works perfect. Hides behind kids room TV, so never see that Frankenstein object.
