This is the equivalent in size to 2 27in monitors side by side. As much as I like the clean look idk if I could pay that much premium to get rid of the bezel. However Nvidia surround sucks imo so utlrawide is definitely a better way to go if you game.

A 44" Quantum dot 1440p 144Hz monitor would cost double.

As much as I wanted to love this monitor, I cannot recommend it. I purchased this for Cyber Monday at 999$ +tax. I ended up returning it. The monitor developed a vertical line of "stuck" pixels in under 30 days from purchase. I then looked up the warranty and was stunned to see it only has measly 1 year coverage. I don't know about you but I am not investing over 1,000$ on a product in which the manufacturer is not willing to guarantee its function any longer than one year from purchase date. That is preposterous for such a high premium and I highly recommend anyone wanting this monitor wait until the price correlates to the value. At 1 year warranty I wouldn't pay more than 500$ for this, and even that is pushing it.

Had this monitor for a few months and I love it. It may not be 1440 but this gives open world games an experience that is amazing. I love playing Tomb Raider and FFXV in super ultra wide. Also this has HDR which FFXV has and boy does it look amazing. Love this monitor to death.

I bought this from TD around Black Friday; regular warranty is 3 years from their business division since the monitor is so big.

I bought this a few months ago. Plays games pretty well, only wish it was g sync. I also like the amount of screen space, really helps out with productivity when I'm coding, I'm able to run 3 windows on 1 screen.

I'm actually surprised with the number of games that support this resolution. This beast is definitely immersive. Only downside is that you need a sizable desk, the base is huge

You can get a might fine 49"-55" tv for $800 smackers. But if you want the quick response time for FPS shooters, this is a nice monitor for the size. But definitely better ones exist for this price, just closer to the 27"-32" size.

This is literally just a 55" 4K TV cut in half. Only benefit I guess is that it's 144Hz whereas a 55" 4K TV will just be 60Hz.

more than that...this is a gaming monitor, so you get variable sync technology that your tv won't have, and you get around 5ms of pixel response time that your tv can't compete with (most tv at 30ms-40ms)
