I put one of these in my SUV. The camera is pretty decent but wiring everything up is annoying. Dash cam and backup cam are usedul but I find myself just using it as a normal mirror which it's great for. It's an edge to edge mirror but you do lose the built in garage openers that most default car mirrors have.

Not sure what cars you're talking about, but I've never see the garage door opener on a car mirror.

My buttons were always between the center ceiling lights. Putting it on the mirror is retarded due to possible finger prints and moving the mirror accidentally.

Its right below the mirror so it doesn't cause any finger print problems and i've has never had an issue with it moving the mirror. No retardation there.

Just curious what car has it on the ceiling? Every car I've owned, Ford, Toyota, BMW, Mazda, Nissan have all put it in the frame of the mirror. I've never touched the mirror once to open by mistake. But hey if you touch the mirror by mistake, then putting it in the roof you could also hit other buttons by mistake. Open a sunroof, turn on dome lights or even open the roof in the 350z.

Button placement is all about getting used to them. The gas opener in the fusion however is in the most ridiculous spot. It's on the center console next to the shifter instead of down by the driver's door where the hood, trunk and gas should be

You've probably haven't been in a car that's from the 2000s and up.

Good grief man!
