I didn't say there weren't any, but by far, the majority of systems at the Outlet are refurbished.
Currently, out of 174 different Outlet Desktop configuration, ZERO are Outlet New. Out of 498 laptop configurations, 20 are Outlet New.
If you go to the Outlet expecting new systems, you'll be sorely disappointed.

There are a ton of new items on lenovo outlet, the older generations processor products like the one you posted.

Or the other way they could be scratch and dent.....

Also your stats are pretty useless....it should be how many are new historically.....to reflect peoples epectations..

Since you're the only one that cares, how about you go fetch those useful stats and report back?

Yes, that sort of sucks with Dell. The order confirmations used to show detail, but a couple years back, they made them so they show nothing.

Until your order ships and you can see the service tag and invoice, I don't know of an easy way. Maybe chat them up?

I always take plenty of screen shots of the webpage showing the detail of the item and order summary BEFORE I click the "submit order" button. That way, I have something to look back on and also to compare with once I receive the item.

Not sure how Dell liquidates outdated new product, but its not on their Outlet site.

The Outlet site is all previously ordered product. I assume that Dell has a channel of resellers to sell off their old, unsold new stock.

All the desktops and laptops in my house are XPS and they were all from Dell outlet. So far after a decade of buying from the outlet not a single system has looked used or came with even a spec of dust. If you take away the refurbished label they are all new and not a single problem after running them for years. Saved thousands of dollars buying from the outlet. The last XPS all in one with 4k I got has been running for 4 years without a single hiccup. This really is a steal compared to what you can get for the money from other places.

Thanks for the heads up been looking for a gaming laptop, looking at the insiprion 7577, i7-7700HQ, 256 m.2 SSD, 1tb HDD, 1-16Gb Ram module, gtx1060 w/ 6G ram and 2 years premium support for 980 after discount and before taxes.

There may be a slicker deal coming down the pipe with those spec's but couldnt pass this one up, seems pretty decent to me.

Thanks

Smilie
