Ugh. Still pricey. I suppose we're paying for the name.

This is the usb c to hdmi adapter that Wirecutter reviewed https://thewirecutter.com/reviews...mi-adapter & recommended above other, more pricey ones. 24. to 16.

If you can deal with an USB-C to HDMI cable instead of an adapter, I bought one of these RAVPowers [amazon.com] and it works flawlessly at 4K, 60Hz. Got mine at $12 so the price has gone up, but they have a few refurbs available for only $9. [amazon.com]

I have what appears to be the same exact adapter in USB 3.0 made by a WEme that I got here for $5.99. It came with a USB type C adapter. It you put in a deal alert you can normally get one for around $5-$8 made by unitek or WEme.

Can I connect LG V20 to TV using USB C to HDMI?
I have the LG V20 to TV-Samsung Smart TV. I got a cheaper China made model (Sold by Hkitty Xion on Amazon). It has VGA/HDMI/Audio/USB all in one adapter. The HDMI was the only plug that didn't work. It would turn on/off randomly. I think it has to do with power/current. In retrospect, I should have ordered an adapter that would charge my phone at the same time (Type C with a lightning bolt icon). Otherwise your phone will run out of battery before a movie is over. I am using is the Samsung Smart View app on my LGV20. Not great, but it works better IMO. I'm sure others can give a better answer or solution. Hope this helps. I would encourage you to try mirroring apps if you have a smart TV. Granted, you can't use your phone if your trying to watch something at the same time.
