Some people call it "classic" and some people want to welcome the '90's laugh out loud

I have a few Movados including this one and get complimented whenever I wear it. Movado's are overrated and underrated - overrated when you buy them at their 1k MSRP but at sub $300 this is a great value. I've been wearing it for three years and it looks practically brand new with it's sapphire glass (has slight scuffing on the bracelet).

I appreciate expensive watches with in-house movements (I have those as well), but quartz has it's place as well. The biggest watch mistake for me recently was buying the wife an automatic for our anniversary as I have to prep it for her every time she wants to wear it laugh out loud

To be fair, battery powered watches are so outdated. I have Citizen watches that are over 10 years old without a single battery change (powered with solar panels and rechargeable batteries).

Do you get tired of having to change batteries, especially if you have more than one? I have three watches and want to buy one more but don't know which one is the best. I was thinking of automatic (Solar/Eco Drive/Perpetual).. This one has only a three thumbs up, why?

I almost get three years on one battery including on my 800 Series Chrono so it's not that big of a deal. Honestly, I find my autos require more maintenance over quartz as I don't have a winder and I need to set and wind them almost every time I wear one depending on my rotation. I'm usually in a rush in the morning so more often than not I'm wearing a quartz watch. You do have somewhat of a point though as my 800 Series battery literally died last week and I haven't gotten around to changing it yet.

As far as what's best? There's no real good answer for that Imho as everyone has their own preferences and needs. I do own one Eco Drive [amazon.com] but don't like it as the rubber strap is uncomfortable for me (never got around to changing it laugh out loud) and feels heavy on my wrist - I literally wore it once or twice and never put it back on. There are some really nice Eco Drives though but most are way too big for my tiny wrist.

I've bought quite a few watches ranging from a $70 Bulova to a $4k Zenith from them and all were authentic. Well, I didn't get them all authenticated, just some of the higher priced ones and my local jeweler confirmed they were authentic.

Movado's band and case are nice quality, but if you open it up the movement has plastic pieces. Would avoid the brand, and look for an automatic movement watch.
