You're totally overpaying for the one key. A feature great on paper poor on execution.

Yes, in-store. The sets were each marked $380 with the yellow sale labels and the big display advertised the free 9.0Ah battery.

I'm not following your logic on this but interested in grabbing a Milwaukee kit at a good value so could you clarify this a bit? The # you gave is a miter saw kit with an extra battery whereas OP is talking about drill/driver kits. Thanks!

My apologies.... was doing some shopping and the wrong one was in my clipboard.
2796-22PO. Total no tax for most $424. Drill, impact, sawzall all one key plus (2)5.0 and 1 9.0 batteries in the rolling toolbox. If you don't want the toolbox or need the hd battery.... selling them at $100ea isn't too hard. Promo code ezmoney

That's a good deal as well. According to my HD receipt, the 9Ah battery can be returned separately for $117, making the kit with two batteries and a light $262 which is a pretty good deal I think for those who don't want to spend $400+

Right but you're also not factoring in tax with yours. Sure some people don't want to sell off stuff but you're basically getting a fuel one key sawzall and the toolbox for $100 more

Just depends on needs and budget. Personally, I don't bother selling stuff off, but maybe that works for others, and I already have three sawzalls. Regardless, the acme deal is a good one and you might want to post a thread about it while it's still live.

Nonsense, if you're a savy shopper it's almost cheaper to get the One-Key models (in kits) than it is to buy the standard Fuel models. Same performance as the normal Fuel tools, but adds the benefit of tool tracking and mode customization options. Being able to customize the performance of your sawzal given the type of material and blade being used (save on blade costs), or customizing the performance of your impact driver to a specific fastener and material (consistent screw depth when installing decking, etc..) it just makes a good tool that much better. There's no down side to having it, and very little difference in the purchase price to get it, though the the OneKey tools retain a higher resale value.

This must be a regional/YMMV deal, though perhaps it's just rolling out more slowly to other markets. I found two of these kits locally and they both tagged at $449 without the free battery option this morning, which I confirmed at the register. First time I've seen that particular combo and I spend a lot of time eye-banging the Milwaukee tools at Home Depot.

That's not the same package, the one in question is in a "special buy" marked box with it's own unique bundle Milwaukee part number and includes the OneKey impact + hammer drill, rover light, 2x 5.0 sc batteries, charger and a bag.

Milwaukee was giving away 4-pc "tick" OneKey tracking bundles (you had to open the package and register one on the spot to get it for free) in a local Home Depot store and mentioned they were really pushing to get more people using the OneKey app, which makes the whole platform more valuable overall. It makes sense they would start putting together more One-Key enabled tool bundles as well to further promote adoption of the platform.

Fun fact - the "One-Key" app will note when it comes within radio range (usually 100 feet) of ANY One-Key trackable product and note it's GPS location back to the app, which is shared with other users, even if that device is not registered to YOUR account. This is how the platform can help users track down the location of their tools (asset management, theft recovery, etc..) outside of the 100 foot range of the OneKey beacon on the tool itself. By using the "mesh" network of other users running the app and sharing location information whenever a One-Key device is in range it greatly increases the value of the system since you have more devices coming into range of Milwaukee One-Key tools and reporting current GPS locations. If you are familiar with the social GPS app "WAZE" it's a similar concept but for tracking down tools.

I am curious what Milwaukee is doing to address the possibility of someone using this location data from the app/device beacons as a way to target locations with high concentrations of OneKey devices as prime targets for theft...

I have 5 stores close by and have not seen the special buy ones for a long time. Also, no hard case with the one with the light, just a bag. $350. is not bad for the plain 2796-22 + a free 9.0, also that light went down to $79.xx.
