Not sure if you wanna go cheap on a sous vide... The cooking temps need to be really exact in order to get the right results, I wouldn't trust a no name $40 one, just my thoughts.

There's pictures of anovas burned to a crisp. You get what you get. This is refub, that's why cheap. Still 1yr warranty.

It's not rocket science. A beer cooler, thermometer and a ziplock bag works too ;-)

We own an anova and had the temp sensor failed on the original one. The refurb they sent has worked fine. The technology isn't that complicated. See the Serious Eats hack.
