Has similar feature as the Huntsman 2 ,with the exception of the phillips head vs. corkscrew and hook.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

What's the benefits of this design vs. the one with the Huntsman 2, besides the obvious tools themselves?

S18 has a locking blade, the Huntsman does not.
All time lowest price on Amazon. Average price has been mid $30s.
Not a fan of the yellow, but picked one up anyways. Thanx!

I keep a Leatherman Micra on my keyring. Would this be a good replacement or stick with the leatherman?

Personally I would keep the Micra. This SAK while good; it is twice the weight.

The three SAK models I often suggest to people are: Cadet Alox, Rambler and Compact.

Honest question - why something like this over a pliers-type multi-tool? Size?

Out of all the things I buy that end up on SD two weeks later at a cheaper price, didn't think this would be one of them.

I ended up with a different model that was a bit cheaper, but those living in stricter jurisdictions should note this knife has a locking blade, which could be enough if a cop is looking for a reason to arrest you.

Thorough review here:
https://morethanjustsurviving.com...ol-review/

Bottom line:
They disliked the implementation of the blade lock so much that they much prefered no lock at all:
"...don't get the Victorinox EvoGrip S18. Skip the lock, get the non-locking version: the Victorinox EvoGrip 18."

That's funny because the last Swiss Army knife deal posted here last week was full of people lamenting that the SAK didn't have a blade lock. The thread was filled with horror stories about lacerations and disfigurement over accidentally cutting themselves. I commented on how I've been carrying a SAK Super Tinker for about 10 years and never came close to having the blade close on me and someone responded that I "must not use it much" or something to that affect.

Until that point, I'd never heard of anyone accidentally cutting themselves with a SAK. You push down and pull with the blade as close to horizontal as possible so the pressure is pressing into the locked blade. Unless you're using the thing at nearly 90 degrees, I still can't figure out how people are closing the blade on their fingers.
