If you really need a macbook air you should buy it, but I recommend that everyone wait for the new update. If you just need the macbook air for something casual, $650 is a excellent deal

Definitely worth it for me! 1080p is overrated for a 13" screen and the lack of it also helps the Air get an amazing battery life. You can either invest $650 in a laptop that will last you 10 years ($65 a year) or get a windows laptop and for around $350 and replace it every 3 years ( $117 a year) if you're lucky. I'm about to sell my 3 year old Asus laptop and they're only going for around $60 on eBay, while 3 year old MacBook Airs are still selling for $500.

I don't think this is worth the price tag. It has about a 5 year old processor and ram. Not even full HD display.

I Agree with you. For this price I expect to have something newer than that 5th gen intel CPU, and at least 1080p screen resolution. Windows laptop for the same price has much better specs, and you're hearing from an Apple fan boy. I have apple everything except for a macbook, I use Windows instead.
