Rather have 3 year warranty and pay 90 for a 4tb

I got the 2 TB last month for the same price (refurbished/recertified). I highly recommend you use HD tune and do a full test. After that, copy a bunch of files-- the larger individual the file(s) the better. Mine passed the HD tune test. However, there was cussing and swearing after it failed on 2 separate acronis system backups (luckily I had a backup from 2 months ago that I could recover most of my stuff). After copying some large FHD movies I kept getting errors. Problem persisted even after a low level format. I owned the drive for just under a month and just got the replacement 2 days ago which came refurbished from Vietnam.

Is this ultra portable drive an old version? How does it compare to a rectangular version?

Hope you encrypt your drives so WD doesn't get the scoop on you when you send it in! Stick Out Tongue

How are these for an XBox one? Is there a better option at this price range?

Looks like a six month warranty. Guess I'll pass.

A good SSD should give you better performance. Games like PUBG... you can get trapped in 3D objects like tables and other stuff because you can land after parachuting before those objects load in. Game loading times in general should improve with a SSD.

Also, again the warranty is only six months and these are used drives with who knows how much usage

I've had one newly purchased 1 tb passport go bad on me in 2015 from a 1ft drop to carpet or slight bang against the side of the computer while it dropped after owning it for a little over a year. So passports are risky no matter how you buy them...shouldn't be too bad if you have backups, and you don't mind a large temporary storage. And no drops or slight impacts ever.

I purchased a recertified 3TB Mybook hdd on Groupon in 2016, and it's still doing ok as a storage of movies and tv and home pics and movies, though I've used it less in the past 6 months since I also I have a 4TB Easystore from BB.

Right 30 day warranty that's a pass... should give at least a year or don't even bother selling them.
