Pretty sure these deals have been active online for the past couple weeks. The V30+ triggered my alert back then.

Is the G6 a good upgrade from a Samsung Galaxy S5 and can it easily be rooted? My s5 has about had it.

F*ck their lease. I ain't leasing no phone nor am I paying over $100 for one, when I used to get the phone free with two year contract. Not gonna be a sheeple. They can take those leases and shove it.

All of the deals are lease deals.

So you're paying for 18 months to keep nothing, and if you want to keep the phone then you have to pay for (24-18)/24 = 1/4 of the retail cost of the phone.

So in reality a G6 is $6*18 + $20*6 = $228.

Also, the leasing is a scam. If you pay beyond the 18 months the payments don't go toward the $20*6. Sprint just keeps it. You pay rent money. You have to set a calendar date to cancel the lease and payoff or return the phone. And if you break the phone you pay the $20*6 anyway.

Overall the leasing is a PITA.

I had a line with Sprint for 15 years and their decision to end contracts made it easy for me to jump to TMobile. Circling the drain...

What is the alternative to leasing? I also hate the idea of paying lots of money and then having to return the device at the end... but the only other option is to pay upfront and not get any discount.. which is worse!
