I got this refurbished and really love it. FYI alot of the reviews complain about washed out colors more than other TNs. This is fixable by just lowering the gamma in Windows or your graphics card app.

I believe with Windows 10 you now have to do it in Windows. It's display adaptor/ pick the monitor / advanced / calibrate display. Change only the gamma and it looks fantastic. As good as any other TN imo.

You can mess around with the settings in the Asus software but it will still never look right. You absolutely have to change the overall gamma setting in Windows.

Monoprice is definitely trustworthy. I've been purchasing from them for years. Sometimes slower shipping though.

I've been waiting for a deal like this, satisfies all my requirements:

24"
144Hz
Freesync (which works with AMD gpus)
Reviews on Amazon are mostly good
Lower than previous best price on camelcamelcamel

Let's play some Overwatch!

The price is cheap due to:
Dual-link DVI cable (Optional)
HDMI cable (Optional)

And because of TN panel and resolution.

Unless you're comparing prices on this model specifically in which case I guess you're correct.

I think only TN panels can get to 1ms response time which was a huge reason for me buying this. For gaming, this monitor is great. For video/photo editing, the colors are waaaaay off. Hopefully the Sypder5Pro that I bought a few days ago from here, will help me calibrate this monitor better for general use outside of gaming.

Most likely new because this monitor doesn't have words "open box" included in its listing.

Have you lowered the gamma in Windows? Not in the Asus software. Worked pretty great for me.

Comes with a displayport cable, the other cables are cheap ($5 online).

For the resolution and specs, this is a pretty good price. If you're looking for 4k 144Hz, etc, it's gonna nearly double
