For me the Subaru EA190V engine has been flawless, but it appears that they did have a bad run of carbs a year or two ago. They're probably all gone now, but if you do happen to get one with a bad carb, Costco's customer service can't be beat and they'll refund or get you a new one.

If you want to go Yamaha, that version should be decent as well: https://www.costco.com/Yamaha-Pow...10663.html

If you truly have a bad/broken carb (i.e. gas leak) then by all means return it, but I think that it is important to not abuse their liberal return policy by bringing something back for a maintenance issue such as not-starting after storage or clogged carburetor due to dirty or ethanol laden fuel.

Had to return my Subaru for carb issue. It's safe to buy through Costco if you have problems. I just bought a Simpson at tractor supply or I would be on this.

How long do you have to return these power washers. Power washers are notoriously unreliable and run into many problems. I know cost takes some products years after purchase I wonder if they take this back if it died.

I always wondered why they cant make the gas models start up using water pressure. Seems like a pita to have a battery (that will go bad) and have to plug it in between uses vs just a pull start.
