Lumber Liquidators has a deal going between 4/19 to 4/23, where they have priced Brazilian Cherry & Brazilian Koa of size 3/4" * 2-1/4" hardwood flooring at $3.69

https://www.lumberliquidators.com...V/10034115
Janka rating is 2350.

https://www.lumberliquidators.com...V/10034430
Janka ratinig is 2160.

These are very high numbers on the Janka scale which means that these are really hard to damage. Warranty mentioned is 100 years, a lot more than you'll find for other wooden planks.

Just for comparison sake, any OAK, Hickory, Walnut are soft as cake when compared with these.

I have been tracking for couple of months and these are normally above $5.50 so this is a really good price if you need it.

I'm heading to store too. Applause Smilie

the first link item has a janka rating that beats many of LL bamboo products. Nice surprise.
2nd item, 2100 vs 2800ish for most bamboos I've been looking at.
so for me as I've been looking for a close out deal on 1/2'' bamboo, do I step up and pay another $1.25 or more per sf for this product with the 2800 janka.

thanks op, I'll do some research on it

read reviews from bellawood owners. their product is over-hyped market garbage. also their warranty is a joke as they make it impossible to file a claim when the product fails.

Take the reviews with a pinch of salt. How many reviews you found? For a multi-billion dollar company, you can't judge a product by looking at just some hundred reviews. They have been in the market for a while and I have always seen their stores overflowing with customers.
Importantly, most of the reviews are written when the customer is unhappy unlike Amazon.

Check sites like AngiesList or Thumbtack to get some quotes. That's what I am planning.

Check with the store. I think most lumber liquidator stores offer installation services now.

This stuff seems soft. If you don't care about wear or looks after normal use, it's a cheap project but don't expect much from this stuff.
how do you know it soft? Info?

Will my dogs scratch these up?

Have (ugly) laminate right now and it's survived the canines. They don't dig in it or anything.

Some of the reviews are from people who have dogs and indicate it holds up to dogs.

Brazilian cherry is jatoba tree and Brazilian koa is tigerwood. Check out the Janka rating first before even claiming it as soft.

What would hard rollers on an frequently used office chair do to this?

Should not. They are high on JANKA scale. They are considered the BEST if anyone is interested in wooden hardwood floor that is durable, resistant to any damage and exotic looking.
