Perhaps the number one flaw with the EWG's Skin Deep Database is that it is not backed by much science at all. Most of the research is merely opinion, with no documented data to support the number ratings of a product's ingredients.

Oddly enough, the spf 30 version of this product is rated a 3 on the ewg website. The spf 70 is rated 10 (a higher number is worse). So I'd say opt for the 30 if you're worried. It's more expensive though: $4.97 after coupon.
