Good job for the effort and it is a better than normal price but man why would someone pay for this at this price when OLED has been cheaper at this size. I don't see what Samsung is thinking. They better rush those micro-led and next gen quantum displays out the door.

+1 to that Bluearora.

The Q8Cs do look amazing, but next to an OLED, it just won't do.

An 65" OLED from LG is about 1700$ now, QLED is just not as good.

Horrible deal.

It would be a really dumb move to pay $2300 for a 2017 edge lit QLED. You can get the new 2018 FALD QLED Q8FN for $2500 on samsung.com (with S@W or Unidays). You can also get a 2017 LG B7A OLED for about $1800 ($1300 with CC PP). You can even find the massive 82" MU8000 for about $2600.

If you are willing to spend this much money, this is probably one of the very last TVs you should consider buying.

Yes

Also the new 2018 Q8FN is full array local dimming and has HDR10+, which provides dynamic metadata. It will provide the same quality HDR as Dolby Vision.

HDR10+ is NOT Dolby Vision. Don't even compare the two.

Read slower, did not say HDR10+ is DV. Very clearly said HDR10+ provides dynamic metadata, which is the single largest aspect that made DV superior on current TVs. HDR10+ will provide nearly an identical picture to DV.

Horrible LG support. Vertical banding. Burn-in issues. OLED is not better than QLED.

If this was a 75" it would be luke warm due to edge lit display. No deal here.

If it's not Dolby Vision it won't give you an identical picture.

If it doesn't support Dolby Vision nothing you have will play in Dolby Vision and revert back to HDR10 which is useless and inferior.

Please don't make me repeat the same thing 3 times. Go back and re-read my posts slower. Have an adult read them to you if you still don't understand.

It has been $2640 from samsung.com with S@W or Unidays since December (Also 3-6% cash back.). Currently it went back up to $2800 but give it a week and it will go back down. Can also submit a $500 CC PP claim, dropping the price to around $2100.
