Instead of ANY of the A7 range shown here get the A7iii. Much better

The reason rII is better for landscapes is because you can make bigger prints without pixelation, and you can also crop more. The a7iii is going to do most things just as well if not better than the a7rii, especially autofocus. If all you are shooting is landscapes, then the a7rii is better for you. If you are ever wanting to take pictures of people indoors, then the a7ii is the better camera. For MOST people the A7iii is the better camera at $2000. I would say the biggest disadvantage is finding the A7 mk3 right now, since they just came out on the 10th and few stores received the stock they wanted.

How do you not know the difference but have many lenses for Sony. Are you currently shooting FE? It feels to me that if you are a serrious landscape photographer you would have a better source of information than slickdeals....

A note on lenses:

Remember that anyone using a nex, or other aps-c sensor with the e-mount glass will need all new lenses when moving up to the a7 series. Aps-c lenses will not give full coverage of the larger sensor. If you are shooting alpha, you will need an adapter to keep your glass, like the LA-EA4, or LA-EA3. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone using the LA-EA3 to use the A7III for better focusing performance. If you are using the LA-EA4 then you have built in AF and you will not benefit from the advanced AF features. You might as well use an A7ii at that point, and save up for native glass.

Lastly, if everything above was gibberish to anyone, you should do more research before jumping into a $2k camera body. For most people, an iPhone is a good enough camera. I great step up would be a small aps-c sensor from sony. For great video and photo quality I would recomend the a6500 with the sigma 30 1.4. That is probably the best new system anyone can buy under $1300.

If you think you need an A7 camera, you are probably a long time hobbiest, or pro, and want quick access to the extra dials and are willing to pay roughly 2x more for your lenses vs aps-c size cameras.

If you're not clear on this, you should really do some significant research before you consider spending this kind of money on a camera. The internet is full of resources comparing the pluses and minuses of both.

I had the A7R2 but battery life was a deal breaker. For similar money the A7iii seems to do everything better although with less resolution.

thanks! How do you like the lens? I read some review that the af is much slower than Sony ones, do you find the same issue?

If uve no lens already, the sigma lens bundle is hard to beat. Thats a very good deal on 6500 and the lens is one of the sharpest on the apsc sony.

The a6000 is three generations behind and the two lens bundle has been around $600 multiple times. Even Buydig has sold it for $600 in eBay.

Not the best and focus may make a bit of noise but i think its pretty decent. The FL is pretty versatile.

I'm in the market for the Sony A7R II and it seems to me the bundle with the LG 27UD59P-B monitor is the best deal at $2098 as the monitor sells separately for $299. The Rokinon 35mm bundled lens doesn't seem to play well with video according to reviews. The other bundles at $1998 seem okay except that the PG-A7II battery grip is not generally recommended. Which credit card would be recommended as having the best extended warranty available for this item?
