Am I the only one who believes that ANY water filter that turns off the light on the refrigerator is better than no filter, and much better than public water served at many restaurants? It seems like extortion to demand big money every three to six months just to maintain your piece of mind that you are not poisoning yourself. I use generic cartridges in my Samsung.

Any filter is better than nothing, but at least to me, the Samsung one tastes the best. Tried a few of-brand ones that were ok but not great

Deal of the Day for the filter @ $25.99. Got 5 filters for $22.09 each using 15% S&S for a grand total of $110.45. Did each filter on separate order to get to 5 orders to qualify for 15% S&S. Thanks OP!

I just get the HDX ones, they are the same specs and I trust that home depot isnt giving me a lesser grade filter.

These fridge filters are pretty pricey. Better to just install a single or small mutistage filtration system in the cabinet above the fridge. If you can get the RO tank to fit, great. If not, still much better tasting, and cheaper in the end, than getting raped by fridge filters.

Just buy generic ones. I get these all the time...work great and the water tastes great. $15 for two. Buying Samsung ones is worse that taking your car to the dealership

Am I the only one that see's no need to even use a filter? I like the tap water where I live so I just took the filter out all together. Also you can reset the light to make it think you put a new filter in.
