Iris Smart-Plug (Z-Wave + Zigbee Repeater) for $31.53 at Lowes

Lowes has Iris smart plug for $31.53. I think there was a previous deal for $30. I was eyeing for a deal for some time. At this price, I will jump in.

AFAIK, this is the only device, in the market, that can act as both Zigbee and Z-wave repeater. That makes it unique. There are inexpensive Zigbee (example, Peanut) OR Z-wave (Monoprice) repeater / smart plug in the market, though.

BTW, SDers should know about "other" Lowes coupon. A 10% off coupon can lower down the price to $28.38.

This price is valid through 04/25/2018.

I own several of these and never could get themto work as a zwave repeater. Got a link to instructions to make it work?

I own none yet. My order is in mail. Here is a link: https://community.smartthings.com...ater/31028.

I belive, there are numerous posts on smartthings forum suggesting dual repeater feature.

I have 3 of these and they all work great as both zwave and zigbee repeaters.

Do you need custom handler?

I just got one and no where on the box does it talk about zwave. Only mentions zigbee. We sure this is zwave compatible too?

Not sure if you need one, but I'm using one to get all the features out of it. And I don't think you will see the zwave portion of it in smartthings unless you install the zwave repeater device handler (otherwise it's just a thing).

I picked a couple of these up today. The switch does not seem to be activated via zwave. Vera is not really digging it. Unfortunate. Was excited to have a few more devices.

Returning them tomorrow.

Well I will comment back here to say that it definitely has Zwave as I followed the directions on the link that mma123 provided and it got added as a Iris Smart Plug and also did it again to add it as a Zwave Repeater and that part showed up as well.

Yes, it shows up. If it actual repeats or not is the real question. I could never get it to actually work.
