Super fantastic... but just over carry on size for most airlines that I fly (AA, Delta, Air Canada)... Would LOVE the 20" at this price!

I haven't seen airlines making a big fuss about an extra couple inches on suitcases. Does this happen?? I also travel a lot (mostly AA and SWA)

I've been hit a few times in the past 2 years or so, mostly on budget airlines. SWA has never been an issue as long as you aren't crazy. AA and Delta, I've been "asked".. and thankfully just smiled/ flirted my way out of it.

Great bags. I remember seeing a similar one with the "straight line" 2 wheels as opposed to spinners that was just like this at Costco recently for $99.

Anyone remember or have more info? Can't be 100% sure it was exactly the same these days as there are so many slight variations between bags earning a different name/model #

Looks like this does not have 4 wheels, only two right? The Amazon video show 4 but the pictures show 2.

What happens if you can't "flirt" your way out of it? Complain online and blame the company?

Never understood why people try to get away with it..and people like you are wasting everyone's else time in line behind you because you cared not to follow airline guild lines.

Btw , awesome bag at an decent price. Always checked in , and after 6 round trips from Texas to SE Asia still going strong.

No need to be a douche about it... the answer is that you gate check. No extra time slowing down those behind you at all. Just step to the side and deal with it. Generally the 1/2" one way or another isn't a problem, unless people tend to fill up the front of the plane with their bags when they sit at the back

Some airlines actually sell "carry-ons" that are a few inches over their own guidelines - so much for following the rules!

FYI, even if you have a legal-size carry-on, you may still need to gate check it on some regional jets.

Lots of reviews complaining of faulty handles and broken zippers. Bought one but already feeling some remorse.

This is the reality (based on my observations flying average of ~50 flights per year domestically and internationally to Europe and Asia, and being a luggage/backpack junkie): Most carry-on you find online (including this particular deal) exceed the common 22x14x9" dimension limits. Similarly, travellers take these cases as carry-on. When I say most, I mean over 90%! Here is another reality: Most people (I would guess 99.9%) get away with it. Where did I pull this number from? The observation that extremely few people get called/rejected from taking their suitcase past check-in/boarding.

For example, I just brought a Travelpro Maxlite 4 (review below), and it was advertised as a 22" carry-on, but in this case, they were honest enough to provide real dimensions of 23 x 15 x 9.5" I measured mine empty and if I squeeze the top and side handles into the empty case, I can legitimately make it 22x14x9". Without squeezing, I measured 23 x 14.75 x 10". Based on my experience looking at suitecases, this is a nice size should not have any problem getting on-board an airplane in all but the stingiest discount airlines (Spirit and Ryan air are the 2 extreme examples)

Anyway, back to this deal:

- Yes, this is a 2-wheeler. Some people will see this as old-fashion, but those of us who live out of their carry-ons will appreciate the fact that this design (compared to spinners) will add at least another inch of precious space inside. Another advantage is that the 2-wheel design will actually roll most comfortably on rough ground (concrete sidewalk, driveway, cobblestone, basically anything that isn't marble smooth)

- Here is my recommendation. Look into the Travelpro Maxlite 4 on Amazon. It is about the same size, similar design, about 1.5 Lbs lighter (less heavy duty). It is not a suiter, but the key point is that Amazon Warehouse "Used and ver good condition" sells for $47 + tax. (It is not part of the 20% sale). I just received mine, and other than the fact that the box was totally trashed, the suitecase was brand new in bag and all tags/wrapping in-tact. Quality is noticeably better than the $50-75 cases at TJMaxx/Marshall/Target/Walmart.
