Standard sale that's nice to be aware of if you've been eyeing one of these monitors for a while like I did with the RL2755. The cheapest price in 2018 was actually the deal from last month for 25% off.

I ordered the RL2755 for a friend and he's been happy with it. Came in a plain cardboard box, but was in pretty much new condition. No dead pixels. They were even nice enough to price protect it for me when it went on sale for 5% off more last month. Shipping same day, and I got it in about 5 days because it was coming from California.

Volume is loud enough for a quiet bedroom, though it is kinda annoying because you can't change the volume very easily. Came with HDMI cable, power cord, and aux I believe.

I e-mailed them and googled and it appears that they don't really have one anymore. They won't promise you either way, but I think they take it on a case by case basis. Basically, if it's a $60 refurb they prob won't be inclined to pay shipping both ways to exchange your monitor for 1 dead pixel. If was more expensive than that, they will try and take care of you. But I couldn't get them to make any promises. I think any of these monitors you'd have a pretty good shot at an exchange if you had a dead pixel.

If not, a lot of credit card companies have extended return periods if the vendor won't take it back. I believe AMEX has a 6 month guarantee or something.

The funny thing was during my research, I found out that Newegg's official policy is like 8 dead pixels for an exchange. I spoke with chat to verify, and my operator went by the book and stated the standard policy, but that is also on a case by case basis. So you could return it without a restocking fee, but you would have to pay return shipping to California.

Edit: Actually, they may not replied back to my e-mail. I may have just read it on one of the Benq forums where a mod replied to the question.

I take it none of these are GSYNC? If I got a 27" at 144hz and used it with an nVidia card, would it matter in gaming?

Not if you can maintain 144Hz. However, many games won't *allow* you to reach 144.

Are these really returns or is BenQ selling over stocked products without breaking their own map pricing? Would be very interested if these were actually brand new! Anyone have any insight?

A lot are units are from esports events I think. My refurb 2455 has been running problem free for over 2 years. Seemed new as far as I could tell.

There are two small reasons against that theory that i noticed.

1. Like I said earlier, the RL2755 I received didn't come with the original fancy black box.

2. I read on Amazon reviews that the monitor defaults to the best setting (FPS). Mine wasn't on that setting initially.

I dunno why they would sell new products as refurbs. After coupon, the refurbs are noticeably cheaper than the new ones, but the RL2755 had a price drop recently on Amazon, Newegg, and B&H.

These are niche monitors. I dunno why you would buy one unless you're console gaming. TN panels, only 1080p resolution and not future proof, not great price/spec value. I got one for a friend for his PS4, but if he wasn't using it for only COD, and using it as a regular computer monitor, I'd probably get something else.
