If Target would price match Amazon on the 4K blu-rays and then offer the 20% and 5% discounts, it would be worth it. Otherwise, Amazon still has better deals on almost all of the 4K movies even after discounts. You'd save a little on the $24.99 selections but not much.

The digital copy of Black Panther comes out next week. The physical arrives on the 15th.

3 months in the theater before blu-ray, pretty nuts usually it's around 4.

Wonder when Avengers 3 will come out on disc, July or August

Right it actually is under 3 months it came out feb 16th. These movies go to disc quickly so the studios can make there money faster.

I thought Target used to have great sales on release day. Tuesday's if I recall? It's been quite a while since I bought a BluRay so I may be wrong.

No I agree with you. I have often asked them to price match walmart or amazon.

I mean they can't seem to keep the Spider-Man Homecoming Target Exclusive: for $10 in stock....

Most movies now are under a 90-day agreement with movie theaters. Not that the theater will have it that long, but that studios won't release it to blu-ray/DVD for 90 days. So 3 months is about the norm.

Thanks for the heads up on this, but I'm not going to make a special trip to Target for this. Last time they had a 20% off (earlier this year I believe), only a small number of titles online had the 20% off discount. I remember some guy posting he spent hours coming up with a want list ahead of time and then it was in vain. I spent 5-10 minutes paging through the sale items online and couldn't find anything I wanted that was worth buying at 20% off.

I went to Target that week for something else and checked the movie section. I didn't spot anything I wanted and walked out emptyhanded as is usually the case with my occasional Target visits in 2018. I expect this time around the selection of movies will be no better and possibly worse considering how B&M movie sections keep shrinking in size.

This deal might be useful to people who are OK paying $10+ for new release Blurays or $15+ for 4K new releases, but I'm too cheap to pay that much for anything except 3D Blurays which of course Target and Walmart don't carry any more and studios don't release 3D very often. Disney/Marvel has 100% abandoned 3D in the US. Thank goodness for region free Blurays from jolly old England!

I worry Target will cancel my Red Card for lack of use the last few months. Only thing I can remember buying at Target in 2018 are some household supplies a while ago.

"Cool story, bro"
"TL;DR"
