eventhough it's called the x34p -- this, folks, is NOT the second version of the original x34 because it uses a VA panel, which is known to have ghosting issues at high refresh rates

the original X34 has an IPS panel, generally the more desirable choice with less ghosting and more accurate colors.

Currently using dell 3818uw powered by a 1080ti. Seriously interested in this monitor, maybe even 2 of them. Anywhere care to chime in on how good of a deal this thing is?

Can this be overclocked to 120hz or 144hz? Or is 100hz already the max overclock?

So you currently have a 4k TV that was cut in half.... should probably upgrade and forget you spent a grand on half a 4k monitor.
Who says i paid a grand? or anything close to a grand...

The fact this can be OC'd to 120hz, puts 144hz negligibly out of the way. This monitor is superior in almost every way.
That's not quite what I was asking... though I suppose it answers my question - you're saying the monitor in this deal can be OCd to 120hz
