Even with some great specs it will crawl due to that slow hard drive. You will need to replace that with a good SSD.

No M.2 slot for SSD, but you could remove the DVD drive and use this to add an SSD instead: http://www.amazon.com/Nimitz-Driv...07955QWC4/

How do you check the presence of M2 slot? I mean if I want to check for other laptops.

If it's not listed in the specifications, then you usually have to go by online reports from others and/or teardown videos to confirm. I prefer teardown videos to see the internals firsthand since you can sometimes find contradicting info without that.

I don't understand how a company can justify putting a 1366 x 768 display in anything but the lowest end budget machine these days. 1920 x 1080 should be the minimum, what with 1440p and 4k being mainstream, now.

Windows scaling sucks. I'd almost rather have 768p with 100% scaling.

Scaling is perfect at 1080p, above that it gets hairy, but it's still decent at 1440p. At 4k it's pretty bad, but you don't need 4k on a 15" screen.
