I got the 55" for $320 through Rakuten. It's not great at an angle, but I'm comparing to my old Plasma, so what is. The picture is really nice, Roku TV is super easy to use. The over the air TV guide and live TV pause (up to 90 minutes when you put in a USB stick) are highly underrated features.

This really is a great TV for the money. Plan to buy a soundbar. I haven't gotten one yet, and the TV speakers really are adequate for most TV viewing, but they are not "good".

It's a great TV at a really affordable price.

I think a 49 footer is plenty big Wink

Still doesn't justify the price. Most people buying TCL are looking for value. Considering he's upgrading a five year old TV, it's safe to assume they are looking for a solid deal for a great TV. No need to spend almost double what he's paying.

Was just about to buy the 49" for 350 on Amazon until I randomly checked for a deal. Just ordered, thanks!

Are the differences on the 2018 6 series worth paying the extra $250-300 for? What kind of differences will I be really missing out on? I currently have a 5 year old 1080p 55" that I know any current TVs would blow out of the water and there is a significant input lag for gaming so I know anything would be an upgrade.

Nah, not worth the extra difference. Most people who even want the new version to release was so they can get the 2017 version for less.

Interested in the 43 to use as a monitor but doesn't look like this code works for the 43 by the same seller.

Couldn't resist. BIL just got the Costco 403S 55" for $340 recently. This 49" is $340 at Costco. TV looks great for these crazy prices.

Awesome. I'd been ready to bite the next time Amazon drops it back down to $300. $20 less, and no tax? Take my money!
