Been using these for almost a year. For the price they are awesome, recommend grabbing a 1080p camera for exterior monitoring though.

total solid simple straightforward surveillance. the motion detection works great.

I'd still keep it but i u/g to 1080p as well. It costs x2. but for vast majority 720p is great.

Seems like a good deal. Not trying to light a fire here but isn't there some issue with these home cameras you need to be aware of regarding who can hack into them?

Anyone know if these can split between several individual cameras/accounts? Like buying this and split the cost between 3 other people?

If you put a SD card in these and plug it in, can they continuously record? Foregoing the motion detection?

Yi has a very nice setup for the price if you have to go wireless. I know the Wyzcams are recommended often, but those have tons of connectivity issues. I've had several wireless cameras and for me the Yi's have been the most reliable and with the best interface. Good (but not great) image quality and very fairly good motion detection technology.

Love the YI. It's really the Nest cam at 1/10 the price. YI's all take micro sd cards for 24 hr recording and have generic power cords. Can pop the 1 1/2 inch cam out of the stand for an almost-invisible cam.

I've got one of the 1080p cams and am completely satisfied with it. The app on Android is hit or miss. If you want notifications you have to make sure the app is running. Open the app and then go to the phone's home page. I find that I have to relaunch the app about every other day to make sure notifications keep working. It's happened on multiple phones, so it's something with the app.

Does anyone know if the yi app (or the cameras in general) allows for viewing multiple live feed at a time? I currently use IPCam to view a grid of nine d-link cameras in real time. At first glance I wasn't able to find anything about yi allowing third party streaming. Does anyone have experience and/or suggestions?

You have to select the camera you want to view. Not possible to view more than 1 cam at a time.
